What about 2D in 3D TV?

Will we be able to see 2D movies and programs in 3D TVs?

99% of current and old movies are only made in 2-D. Yes 2-D movies will be released for decades just like black and white movies are still around in a color world. Not all black and white movies are colorized do to cost and quality issues. Most 2-D movies will not be upconverted to 3-D do to cost and quality issues.

It will take a long time for 3D to hit the main stream and 2D will exist for another long time.

You will be able to watch 2D movie in a 3DTV.

Sharp offers a cool feature where some viewers can watch in 3d and others can watch in 2d at the same time. Everyone has to have a pair of sharp 3d glasses and then anyone who wants to watch in 2d can turn their glasses to "2d mode". This is cool if 3d makes your head hurt or something when you watch it for a while.

I found out about it here - Sharp 3D Glasses
3D Addict!! Really want a Sharp Quarton 3D TV!!
