I think that with the rise of 3D movies everyone should own a pair of 3D glasses for themselves. If you could get money off a 3D movie ticket with your own pair of 3D glasses would you buy them for $25 or so? If not, or in addition to, would you purchase your own pair of 3D glasses if you could switch out the 3D polarized lenses with regular polarized sunglass lenses for $30-35?
I am glad to inform you all that "Sfirex" premium 3D eyewear from iCoat Company (an company that specializes in optical technology) is one of the best circular-polarized passive-3D eyeglasss available in the market. The Sfirex 3D eyewear is not yet readily available but can be ordered by calling the company directly. The Sfirex 3D eyewear is a result of extensive research and development that gives 15% brighter and more vivid 3D experiece than conventional 3D eyewear available in the market.
In addition, for the prescription wearers, Sfirex is available in "Fitover" styles and "Custom Clip-Ons" that can be worn over a pair of prescription eyewear. The quality is amazing and you get the ultimate 3D expereince wthout sacrificing your particular optical power needs.
The regular polarized sunglass lenses are linear polarized versus the circular-polarized glasses that are used to watch 3D movies. Sfirex eyewear uses an actual circular-polarized 3D lens rather than flimsy thin polarized film. Also one cannot just switch the polarized thin films from the 3D eyewear provided in theaters to the polarized sun lenses. There are lots of factors involved when placing a polarized lens in a frame. There is mounting stress, polarization angle and axis, edging parameters etc.
