Yeah my multiplex has a MAD room too, where its 3d and the chairs move. I didn’t see Avatar though but a short animated thingy. Kind of annoying really, chairs were moving like crazy it started to hurt.
I just learned from my cousin in Hong Kong that certain cinemas over there are actually offering "4D" shows of Avatar--that is, 3D + moving chairs!
Can you imagine experiencing the movie like that? Chair swerving as you swoop down on an Ikran, trembling as Hometree gets destroyed...and I thought 3D was immerse.
I was wondering if any of you have actually experienced a "4D" viewing? And if so, where? No theaters in Canada that I know of are equipped with moving chairs, unfortunately.![]()

I've experienced 4D without 3D though, it was actually really cool
Are you serious? Can we really enjoy Avatar on 4d version. I am very excited to know about it.
I have experienced 4d surrounding and I am sure that if Avatar will be released in 4d, then it will be a bigger hit.
Avatar in 4d will definitely be a bigger hit than the Avatar 3d version. but I am not sure that will Mr. Cameron make the movie or not?
I am not sure that 4d version of this movie will be coming , i hope it comes![]()
4d !!! what do you guys mean by 4d ?? I haven't heard of it till now and do anyone know what it is please kindly brief me about it. It is something that is more good than 3d ??
4D is a brilliant idea! Of course except for that part where your bum gets sore from the chair moving too much haha. But other than that, this very much complements 3D, makes it more "experiential" (such a big word, ugh) somewhat. How expensive are the tickets though?
