    James Cameron about Avatar 2

The numbers don't lie—moviegoers are loving Avatar just as much as the Hollywood Foreign Press.

So it would stand to reason that a sequel to James Cameron's opus is in the works, right?

    Right.

"We always planned on continuing the world and continuing the characters," the director told E! News at the Producers Guild of America Awards Sunday night. "In fact, that was part of the original pitch to 20th Century Fox."

All the necessary elements, he says, are already in place.

"We're going to spend a lot of money building this world and all these digital characters and digital plants and trees and mountains and so on, and then once we've got it, we've got it. It's not like it's a practical set that when you build it, you have to tear it down and you're left with a big pile of lumber out behind the studio. We have all that stuff so we can go again."

But don't start lining up at the theaters just yet. There's a long way to go before Zoe Saldana and Sam Worthington turn blue again.

"We just have to come up with a great story, which we haven't done yet," Cameron says. "I have a rough story, but you need to make a script, so that might take some time. Don't start going to buy your tickets."

So, since he's already topped himself once, is he aiming to do it again?

"Oh yeah, we have a plan in place already for how to break these records," he says sarcastically. "Are you kidding?! This is so random that this is happening. There's no way to have predicted this."

This means that james cameron is serious about 'Avatar 2'. I am sure that it will be an even bigger hit. What u all say about it?

If he is really serious about the release of Avatar 2 then it will be like another feather is added to the trilogy pack movies and they will really be more attractive and massive than this.

I am still quite skeptical about the Avatar 2. But if it comes out then it will certainly break all the records created by its first version.

Lol... Of course he already knew Avatar was gonna go through the roof... He's just being modest, as he knows that Avatar 2 will be the only movie to beat Avatar

I don't want him to wait to start making the movie. He can take as long as he wants to make the movie, but he MUST NOT WAIT A FURTHER WEEK TO START SHOOTING AVATAR 2

I can't even put into words about how excited I am to see Avatar 2. There is so much potential for the storyline to go places never seen before and the graphics will surely be better then ever

Is this really true ?? If it is then it is a nice news to hear for James Cameron Fans and just this time he has to do it and release it within short period of time and not extend as 12 years as he did for Avatar 1 film.

Definitely looking forward to watch AVATAR 2. In AVATAR The end was kind of a shocker. So I guess AVATAR 2 be better than the first. Because if james sees any fault in AVATAR 1 Definitely he will come up with a much more quality with The AVATAR 2.
