What do you want to say by the term "meaningful"? Could u just explain it out here.
I just wanted to ask, what films are the most meaningful to you for their themes, characters, storyline etc? It'll have to be apart from Avatar though, or else it might not give the other film's a chance. I guess some of my favourite films are one's that i just feel i can connect with and get some sort of a message from. Anyway, i'll be interested to see what sort of film's other fellow avatarians have found meaningful .
The Assassination of Jesse James by the coward Robert Ford
The Thin Red Line
Waltz With Bashir
The Talented Mr. Ripley
Solaris (2002)
Gattaca
Infernal Affairs
Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind

The most profound movie that I've ever seen is "Earthlings". I highly recommend it. I think you can still watch it on youtube
District 9
The Green Mile
The Day After Tomorrow
Man On Fire
Schindler's List (totally forgot this)
These are the MOST meaningful, although I like many other movies like Hot Fuzz for example. But a comedy is not meaningful to me
