    Megamind 3D Movie Review

After the success from movies like Shrek film series, Kung Fu Panda, How To Train Your Dragon, etc. DreamWorks has brought out Megamind, an entertaining animation movie in 3D. It’s a spiffy film that intelligently amuses the kids as well as the adults. The movie, as a whole is satisfying and delightful but the comedy in the film doesn’t really fulfill the expectation of the viewers.

The entire movie revolves round Megamind (Will Ferrell) and Metro Man (Brad Pitt) and their arch rivalry. Megamind and Metro Man, both share common origins as they both land on earth from the same place and because of the same reason i.e. being sent away from their planet as it was dying at the time of their birth. On landing on earth they realize that they are gifted with different powers. Metro Man is the Superman of the movie with super-human powers. He can fly and has laser shooting powers in his eyes. Megamind is equally powerful but he hasn’t got such powers instead he enjoys super-human intellect and is the villain in the story.

Metro Man and Megamind develop a rivalry in their childhood which they earnestly maintain even being adults. Metro Man is soon recognized as the hero and the superman of the Metro-city, with the qualities of a perfect citizen. The rivalry grows further and they turn arch-enemies. Megamind, despite his super human brain, fails in the course of the movie leading to time the tested formula of good winning over the evil.

The battle between Megamind and Metro Man gets fiercer and 3D technology heightens the fierceness but the battle moves on with a positive and comical take making it totally fit for the kids to watch the film. The movie offers a great cinematography, indulging battle scene, wonderful 3D effects, enthralling animation but it never makes the viewers laugh out loud instead it only brings in moments to chuckle a little, which is really disappointing as the most comedy-arousing Hollywood stars Will Ferrell (Megamind), Brad Pitt (Metro Man), Tina Fey (Roxanne Ritchi), David Cross (Minion) and Jonah Hill (Titan), etc have lent their voices to the animated characters.
    Thanks & Regards
