television stations started airing 3D serials based on the same technology as 3D movies
There could be number of reasons for it. lets have a look at them:
- Greater competition with high-quality home theater options, driving desire for a unique big-screen experience.
- The willingness of customers to pay more for a 3D movie ticket, covering the greater cost of production.
- Success and audience turnout for modern 3D films. Many point to 2004's "Polar Express" as the start of this trend, where just 66 IMAX theaters with 3D accounted for 25 percent of the film's returns.
- Better 3D quality with polarization technology.
- Cheaper production and equipment with digital movie technology.
- Improved technology to transform 2D films into 3D features.

I think Sneha is right about it. this technology has various applications in our daily life affairs.
3D technology simply is the way of the future in regard to entertainment, but also in regard to all of the industries. All types of applications/forms of technology will be available for 3D imagery. Consider the effect it would have if video messages were projected out of the screen similar to holographic imagery or if stock brokers could analyze the stock market in 3D. Families could look at a house for sale in 3D to make sure they get a feel for the dimensions. Government agents could visually consider possible entry/exit points before entering a building from a small piece of technology the size of an iPhone. The real world possibilities of 3D technology are simply endless![]()
